Our parts are on the way and expected to arrive tomorrow. This shipment includes:
- ESP32-S3 Development Board
- MPU9250 – 9-axis IMU (gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer)
- KY-003 Hall Effect Sensor
- Supporting magnets and prototyping supplies
We also secured hardware for our stretch goals:
- Scosche Rhythm R+2.0 – A waterproof/dustproof heart rate monitor to help gauge rider intensity.
Once these arrive, we’ll begin building the first prototype and start testing hardware this week.
In parallel, we’ve been diving into FMOD Studio. Originally built for video game audio, it offers deep potential for adaptive sound design. However, it’s also helped us realize that crafting the music experience may be the trickiest part. Rather than just triggering layers, we’re exploring ways to navigate through the music—making the ride feel like a musical journey instead of a button-mashing game.
